MOVIE REVIEW: Tyler Perry's Madea Family Reunion (Richmond Times-Dispatch) - It's hard not to think of Madea as a woman. Even though the big and brassy matriarch looks less than completely female and the actor playing her, Tyler Perry, cannot completely cover his 5 o'clock shadow, she still seems the very essence of a big momma.
